Lamp appears to be burned out. I don't have any 8mm film to view but see no reason why it shouldn't work. When tested, everything else seemed to work with no issue: motor turns on, forward and reverse work and spindles have torque and auto-loader spindles turn. Looks very-well maintained. Vintage and sold as-is.
